GILL – SALON OWNER

After spending 15 years as office manager for the Hair Workshop Group Gill took over the salon in 2010.

“I love being back in the salon, I’m no longer a stylist, but feel I have a more important job to do! I make sure everything runs smoothly, make sure my team are happy and ensuring our clients are the most important part of that team”

SONIA – SENIOR CONSULTANT

Sonia joined the team a year after the salon opened as temporary manager and never left.  With over 30 years’ experience her expertise and wealth of knowledge of hairdressing are second to none. Her passion is for cutting.

KAREN – CONSULTANT

Karen started her career with Hair Workshop, as a young stylist she went to work for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line on her return she opened and successfully ran her own busy salon for 15 years before returning to us in 2004.

DENISE – CONSULTANT

Denise returned to Hair Workshop Five years ago.  She has over 30 years’ experience, which includes running her own successful salon in Tunbridge Wells and working as a senior Director of a national Hairdressing brand.  She is an advocate of continuous professional development

ALISON – SENIOR DESIGNER

Alison joined Hair Workshop straight from school, soon after finishing her apprenticeship she left to have her family and returned in 2016 to resume her salon career “I have been hairdressing now for over 20 years, I love the social aspect, the opportunity to meet new faces and make new friends, I would describe myself as an ” all-rounder ” but I do love cutting and enjoy learning something new every day “.

LEANNE – STYLIST

Leanne joined Hair Workshop in 2017 as an apprentice, she very quickly completed her NVQ Level2 and went on to complete her Level3.  Leanne has a passion for colouring and being creative, it is never a surprise to arrive at the salon to find Leanne with a completely different hair colour.  Her ambition is to become a Goldwell Master Colourist.  “I would like to go on to do my GOLDWELL colour masters and specialise in colour, and to do courses in all other areas of hairdressing to keep my skills up to par, and hopefully one day, I would like to run my own salon”

JORDON – STYLIST

Jordon joined us in 2016 for work experience whilst full time at college working towards her NVQ Level2, she swapped college for an Apprenticeship finishing her level 2 with us and then going on to gain her NVQ level 3.

“My passion when I started Hairdressing was for Cutting now I love all aspects of Hairdressing”

Jordan is our Kerasilk specialist, she has a thirst for learning new skills you will always find her with a Training head practising something she has seen on the internet  if she has 5 minutes to spare.

LAURA – NAIL TECHNICIAN

Laura opened The Nail Workshop in July 2013.  She trained in salon with That Nail and Beauty place Academy where she gained an NVQ in Nail Services. Laura specialises in working with the natural nail to enhance its beauty taking great pleasure in seeing fabulous results, she is a perfectionist and has an eye for detail taking time and care with every service to ensure the best results.

She has qualified with Hi Brow professional and is a Reflexologist, the qualification you will not hear her talking about is, she has a University Degree in Fine Art.

LISA – TRAINEE

Lisa started in August 2019 she is working towards her NVQ level2 qualification, as an older apprentice Lisa will have slightly less time to get through an apprenticeship and to gain her qualification than a school leaver would, but she hasn’t let that or these four months of lockdown hinder her.. she is smashing it !

ELOISE – TRAINEE

The youngest member of our team Eloise came to us for work experience when she was at school. She started full time in September 2019  “I loved the idea of being a Hairdresser, I love watching people do hair and wanted to be able to do it too.  I want to have lots of skills and knowledge about hair.  My favourite bit is interacting with clients, I love to see clients going out of the salon happy and I can’t wait for when it’s me making them happy”
